Her Sonnet

The morning was her beauty’s delight
Her eyes sparkled brighter than full moon
Her face created for want of a pleasant sight
She blossomed as a day in mid June.

Roses and daisies and mango fruits too
A blend of satisfying aromas left you craving
Like nectar to bees, her scent was attractive to you
Despite circumstances, she was worth having.

Her voice was melodious like the songbird
It caressed your name when she walked by
Almost willfully, she wanted to be heard;
So intense like October’s rain from the sky.

You touched the parts of her I couldn’t see.

Painfully, I watched you betray what you were to me.
